Deco Dolls listed on the 'So Pretty Was She' blog

On 25th April 2012 we were really excited to be mentioned in the lovely 'So Pretty Was She' blog.  The 'Crowning Glory' post gives advice and inspiration on how to choose a vintage inspired hair style, and updates you on how the author is narrowing down styles for her own wedding!

Deco Dolls vintage hair styling for 'A Most Curious Vintage Wedding Fair' and a listing on the 'Love My Dress' blog

On 22nd April 2012 Annabel from the MASSIVE 'Love My Dress' wedding blog commented on our work at 'A Most Curious Wedding Fair' on 30th March 2012:

'For all the fashion shows the hair was put together by vintage specialists "Deco Dolls", who created an editorial more fashion forward take on 1940s rolls.'

We all had such a great day at the fair meeting everyone and seeing all the beautiful dresses and accessories. The hair was based on the style seen on the catwalk show for Donna Karan Autumn/Winter 2012/13.

Photoshoot for Glamour Magazine

In April 2012 I had a fun day Assisting on a photoshoot for Glamour Magazine at the beautiful  Spring Studios in North London.  All the women being beautified had won a competition to model the Spanish clothing brand Desigual's new collection and they had starred in the brand's Regent Street fashion show the night before!  The images will be featured in Glamour's July 2012 issue.

Photoshoot for Good Housekeeping and Country Living magazines

In March 2012 I spent the day in a very swish home outside of London with its own pool and boat dock! We were there to do the hair and make-up for a photoshoot for Flora who were promoting their Pro.activ range for people who want to reduce or maintain their cholesterol.  The images will be featured in the June and September 2012 issues of the magazines.

Vintage Photoshoot for Living South Magazine

In February 2012 I was the hair stylist for a vintage photoshoot for Living South Magazine.  One of the images from the shoot made the magazine's April front cover!

Photoshoot with Assassynation for Rock N' Roll Bride

Early on a very cold day in February 2012 I traveled to Birmingham to take part in a photoshoot for the HUGE Rock N' Roll Bride wedding blog promoting many different and wonderful suppliers from the wedding industry.  The shoot took place in a disused nightclub and the murals that feature in the images were part of the club's decor.  The set that was created before I even arrived was incredible: straw, giant toy soldiers, circus lights and suspended ladders and swings!  The day even featured a real life horse and amongst other things I did the make-up for a Fire Breather, and some make-up inspired by 'The Crow' for Gareth who is Kat's husband from Rock N' Roll Bride.  If you scroll down through the blog you can also see a brilliant 'behind the scenes' film - I'm the one in the orange hat!

Photoshoot for Tresor Paris jewellery

In November 2011 I assisted Margo Holder with hair and make-up at a photoshoot for Tresor Paris at the Lumiere London studios.  You can click on the image to see more photos on my Facebook page and to access links to some films from the day.

Margo Holder also has an excellent make-up school in London called Make Up Artelier.
